J.E. Hodgetts Award and Prix Roland Parenteau

IPAC celebrates outstanding scholarship with two awards to acknowledge the best of Canadian Public Administration (CPA) journal articles in both English and French.

The J.E. Hogdetts Award goes to the finest article in English appearing in the Canadian Public Administration journal. This annual award was created in 1992, in honour of one of the deans in the field of public administration scholarship, J.E. "Ted" Hodgetts (1917 - 2009).

The Prix Roland Parenteau goes to the finest article in French appearing in the Canadian Public Administration journal. This annual award was created in 1992, in honour of one of the deans in the field of public administration scholarship, Roland Parenteau.

Created in 1958, the CPA journal has been a trail-blazing publication and one of the pioneers in laying the scholarly foundations for public administration studies in Canada.

The CPA journal, a refereed scholarly publication, is committed to the examination of the structures, processes, outputs and outcomes of public policy and public management. It publishes material related to executive, legislative, judicial and quasi-judicial functions at all three levels of Canadian government.

The Inuit Inukshuk trophy is presented to the winning authors each year at the annual IPAC Conference.
