Who can participate in the AI Skills Training Series?
This program is open to all Canadian public servants, regardless of their role or level. The workshops are designed to benefit anyone interested in applying AI to their work in the public sector.
How much does it cost?
The program is completely free for Canadian public servants.
Do I need prior knowledge of AI?
No prior AI experience is required. The workshops are designed to provide foundational knowledge and practical applications that anyone can understand and implement.
What is the format of the workshops?
The sessions are 90 minutes long, including 15–20 minutes for Q&A. They will be held virtually via Zoom, with live interaction and polls to keep participants engaged.
Will I receive a certificate for completing the series?
Yes, participants who complete all four workshops will receive a certificate of completion, demonstrating their newly acquired AI skills.
Can I attend just one workshop, or do I need to participate in all four?
We recommend completing the full series to maximize your learning and receive a certificate. You will not earn the certificate if you do not attend all four workshops.
What if I miss a live session? Are the workshops recorded?
Yes, all sessions are recorded. Registered participants who miss a live session will receive access to the recordings. As long as you watch all four workshop recordings, you are still eligible to receive the certificate of completion.
How do I access the recordings?
Recordings will be emailed to all registered participants following each session. Be sure to register for the workshops in advance to receive access.
Can I ask questions during the workshops?
Yes! Each session includes time for Q&A with the speakers. You can submit your questions during the webinar through the Zoom Q&A feature.
Who is hosting the series?
This training series is hosted by IPAC in collaboration with Microsoft. Sessions are delivered by subject-matter experts from KPMG and Microsoft, bringing real-world AI expertise to the public sector context.
