Compensation and Costing Advisor 

$74,300.00 - $105,000.04 annually

The Public Sector Employers Act (PSEC) Secretariat sets compensation framework for collective bargaining and executives. It also sets management compensation policies, including severance pay. It develops policies that respond to government interests and to labour and human resource issues. 

This position is results-based and strategic. It supports the Director and PSEC Secretariat, helping them achieve the government’s key labour relations, excluded compensation and corporate communication goals. It provides compensation and costing analysis to support Employers' Associations and public sector employers during collective bargaining.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, commerce, mathematics, social sciences, or a related field; AND a minimum of two (2) years of *related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.


*Related experience may include a combination of experience in the following:

  • conducting quantitative analysis and data management
  • demonstrating proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel functions
  • interpreting collective agreements
  • experience conducting compensation or classification reviews

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Experience in labour Relations, compensation and/or benefits.
  • Experience and familiarity with financial reporting.
