The Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA) and the Institute of Public Administration in Canada (IPAC) are pleased to announce the winners of the 2022 National Student and Thought Leadership Awards!

The National Student and Thought Leadership Awards in Public Administration, a joint initiative of CAPPA and IPAC, are a set of two awards that recognize talent in Canadian public administration and policy programs at the regional and national levels. They highlight excellence in public administration and showcases the top talent emerging from Canadian programs each year. The six recipients of the National Student Award for 2022 were nominated by CAPPA-member programs in Public Administration, Public Policy, or Public Management in recognition of their overall program and leadership contributions, outstanding research, or excellent capstone or thesis work undertaken during the 2021-22 year.

The National Thought Leadership Awards recognize excellence in research that pushes boundaries. This year’s winners are:

Gold: Jennifer Holmes Weier, York University “Bursting the Ottawa Bubble: Government dispersal and localization in the context of a diversity strategy”

Silver: Wei Jiang, Western University, “Workforce Diversity Management in Ontario Police Services”

Bronze: Claire Davies, Simon Fraser University, “Toward a Low-Carbon & Climate Resilient Agriculture Sector: Policies to Increase the Adoption of Cover Crops in British Columbia”

L’Association canadienne des programmes en administration publique (ACPAP) et l’Institut d’administration publique du Canada (IAPC) sont fiers de vous annoncer les lauréats du Prix national des étudiants et du leadership éclairé en administration publique, édition 2022.

Le Prix national des étudiants et du leadership éclairé en administration publique, une initiative conjointe de l’ACPAP et de l’IAPC, est un ensemble de deux prix qui reconnaît les meilleurs talents au sein de l’administration publique et des programmes politiques au Canada, au niveau régional et national. Ce prix souligne l’excellence dans le domaine de l’administration publique et présente des personnes de talent issues de programmes canadiens à chaque année. Les cinq récipiendaires du Prix national des étudiants 2022 ont été nommés par leur programme respectif en administration, politique ou gestion publique en reconnaissance de l’ensemble de leur contribution et de leur leadership, de leur recherche, de leur travail de synthèse ou de leur thèse pour l’année 2021-2022.

Le Prix du leadership éclairé est remis afin de reconnaître l’excellence d’une recherche qui repousse les limites du domaine. Les lauréats de cette année sont:
