SkilledTradesBC, (formerly Industry Training Authority) leads and coordinates British Columbia’s skilled trades system. We do this through supporting apprentices and employers, designing and funding programs and working to increase the value of skilled trades careers. With this expansion comes the need for dynamic leadership to strategically algin and continue to steward the recruitment, retention, engagement and wellbeing of SkilledTradesBC’s employees.  

The Director, Human Resources is responsible for providing strategic HR leadership to SkilledTradesBC, promoting and implementing human resource strategies, programs, policies that support a high performing, inclusive and purpose driven culture. This includes overseeing the attraction, retention and development of employees and our leaders so we can deliver effectively on our strategic objectives. Additionally ensuring the organization has effective workforce planning, training and development, compensation and benefits, and occupational health and safety strategies in place. The position works directly with the Executive and Senior Leadership team as well as the HR Committee of the Board.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic human resources leader with a true passion for people and is a conscientious promoter of continuous learning. With a minimum of seven years of progressive senior human resources management experience within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment, this is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant contribution towards the cultural development of a provincially recognized Top Employer whose work directly benefits people and the economy of British Columbia.
